A beautiful, hand-built pottery jar presenting a ring-form foot, a bulbous body, a sloped shoulder, and a narrow rim above a deep basin, all enveloped in intricately painted motifs. Boasting a beige ground with red, black, and cream decoration, the exterior of the ancient dish exhibits a series of horizontal registers with 4 crouching zoomorphs at the top, a large band of vertical striations around the center, and an undulating, geometric pattern just before the foot. Several horizontal lines separate each register, while vertical ridges further adorn the body of the vessel.
