A lovely carving of a stylized whale, skillfully hand-sculpted from the bone of an ungulate. The flattened figure features an elongated eye, a long pectoral fin, and a large, open mouth displaying sizeable teeth. Its curved body is comprised of a seated anthropomorphic figure shown in profile with elbow on knee and wearing a towering headdress that culminates in the bifurcated tail of the animal, adorned by an abstract visage.
