**Originally Listed At $300** North Africa, Morocco, Fez region, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. This is a lovely wheel-thrown bowl that is hand painted with tin-glazes in hues of saffron yellow, teal, maroon, umber, blue, green, and black on a beige ground. The vessel rests on a ring foot and the walls swell gently outward and up to the thick rim. The interior is glazed with the beige hue, and the exterior rim and shoulder are painted with the vibrant bands and registers of triangular lines and stylized floral motifs. This type of vessel may have been used a zlafa or soup bowl.
