Gilt silver with chase work and reticulation, consisting of 24 links and one middle piece, metal loops. China, around 1920 – for the Thai market

This gilt export silver belt bears on every link the maker’s mark of the renowned silver manufacturer Bao Ying also known under the name Powing. Additionally, the middle-piece shows the stamp ‘Thailand’ marking it as piece originally manufactured for the Thai market. The belt shows intricate floral décor, executed in reticulation and fine chase work.
