A Sasanian gilt silver bowl, Iran, circa 6th-7th century A.D., the deep hemispherical bowl with thick walls and flat rim, the gilt tondo depicting a pheasant, the exterior with central roundel containing a crowned female head, within an outer band of stylized flower heads, surrounded by a series of five roundels containing pheasants, smaller rosettes to interstices, 14.2cm diam.Provenance: Property of a Lady Please refer to department for condition report
