Three Nishapur slip-painted pottery bowls, Iran, 9th-10th century, the first of shallow form, the brown-slip painting consisting of an oil lamp on an ochre ground with pattern of dots to interstices; the second with curved sides the brown-slip painted decoration consisting of four floriated Kufic inscriptions; the third with brown-slip painted decoration of pseudo-inscriptions and floriated designs to side panels, 11.6cm. diam., 12.4cm. diam. and 18.1cm. diam.
