An Ottoman Qur’an, copied by ‘Ali ibn ‘Ali Safr Hakni, dated 5th Rabi’ 1222 AH/ 1807 AD, Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 312ff., with 12 lines of neat black naskh per page, gold roundel verse markers, corrections in red, headers in white naskh on a gold ground, with opening double page of gold and polychrome decorated headers and borders containing large white thuluth on a gold ground, in original brown morocco binding with cut out and tooled polychrome decorated central medallion and spandrels, folio 29.5 x 19.4cm.
