Born in 1931 in Ahmedabad he completed a Masters in Drawing in 1957 and Master in Arts in 1960 from the Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. Sagara's works have been exhibited around the world, including the San Paolo Biennale, Brazil in 1971; Art Now in India exhibition around Europe 1972-73 and the Exhibition of Asian Artists in Fukukoma Museum of Art, Tokyo 1979-80. His many awards include the medal of Kolkata Fine Arts Academy in 1960 and 1961 and a National Lalit Kala Akademi award, New Delhi in 1963. Please refer to department for condition report
