A Chinese export silver enameled covered box, dating from the Qing dynasty. The rectangular box features a porcelain panel set into the silver with a colorful scene of maidens dancing in a circle to two ladies playing stringed instruments. Trees, water, and mountains can be seen in the distance. Sides of box decorated with incised design, and set on four short angled feet.
