A JAPANESE LACQUER BOX AND COVER MEIJI ERA, 19TH CENTURY Modelled as a peach, the lid decorated with two small birds flying towards a temple, the scene rendered in red, gold and black lacquer; together with a pair of long rectangular lacquer batons, possibly scroll weights, embellished with flowerheads and karakusa scrolls, the box 10.8cm.
