During this time, he held solo exhibitions at London's New Vision, Lincoln and Clement Stephens galleries, Commonwealth Institute and Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. The vendor's husband, was a close friend of the artist as evidenced by the photo dating from 31st December 1956 and the letter dating from 12th June 1966.
