上款人“庆重先生”即张庆重，字希川，新加坡著名爱国侨商、收藏家。庆重先生1929年出国谋生，客居他乡。海外生活几十年，心系祖国，为抗战、为家乡建设捐资捐物。张庆重先生一生热爱艺术，特别喜爱中国传统书画艺术，70年代起，因为业务关系，有机会往来中国大陆，并得以直接和画家联系，辅助画家生活，建立情谊，其中还有许多画家，包括李可染、刘海粟、李苦禅等直接题赠他的上款。是幅即关山月为张庆重所绘并题上款“庆重先生属画”。
