水盂又名水丞，据晚明著名清赏家文震亨《长物志》记载:“水中氶以铜性猛，贮水久则有毒，易脆笔，故必以陶者为佳。”故文人雅士历来对瓷质水盂情有独钟，置于斋室案头，实为佳妙之事。拍品器形小巧可人，外壁施以红釉，釉面红莹浓丽。胎体坚致，为文房案头之隽品。
