送子观音题材的造像在北宋时期即已有之，到明清时期大量出现，《妙法莲华经，观世音普门品》记曰：“若有女人，没欲秋男，便生端正相知女。”送子观音在中原地区信受人们崇信，观音法相此像，双目微垂，微含笑意，身着通肩纳衣，左手抚膝，右手怀抱坐於膝上的童子，活泼生动，极富生活情趣。整像以寿山石为材，比例匀称，体态优美，衣褶线条流畅，雕工精细，石材润泽，殊为难得。
