Description SCULPTURE: "Archangel Michael", 18th/19th century, fully sculpted depiction of the Archangel Michael with armour and helmet, defeating the disgraced Archangel Lucifer, the devil. Shield with inscription "Quis ut Deus" - "Who is like God" as a literal translation of the name Michael, probably meant as a question to Satan. H. 94 x w. ca. 41 x d. ca. 30 cm. (Pedestal with iron mounts. Restored, passed over version; blade and shield rejoined, devil's tongue bumped).SKULPTUR: "ERZENGEL MICHAEL", 18./19. Jh., vollplastische Darstellung des Erzengels Michael mit Harnisch und Helm, der den in Ungnade gefallenen Erzengel Luzifer, den Teufel, bezwingt.
