A very fine antique 19th Century English Victorian tea caddy, produced circa 1880s. Tortoise shell finish with a profusion of delicate inlaid mother of pearl flora and vine designs and patinated brass accents. Concave casket form with locking mechanism to front (no key), and surmounting four ball feet. The caddy lid opens to reveal dual lidded interiorpartments, each having a rectangular inner lid in same finish and with small finial handle. No apparent signature.Dimensions: 5.25 X 7.5 X 5 in.Condition: Good overall condition having normal age related surface wear with moderate wear and minor loss to underside.
