The hand painted roses on this beautiful charger / wall plate are so pretty! They''re accented with pink and palest green background, and the gold encrusted scalloped rim has transfers of gold roses swags interspersed with shaded green leaf clusters. We are unsure of the maker of this plate. The form/mold and rose decoration closely resembles those of R S Prussia, but we've not been able to confirm this attribution. The piece is unmarked except for a faintly impressed "Germany Germany" followed by an inverted V on the reverse as shown. We date this piece 1900-1918. Condition is very, very good with a whisper of wear to the gilding on the rim and a tiny surface flake (about the size of a small lentil) on the underside as pictured. Priority Mail .
