刘墉(1720 -1805 )字崇如，号石庵，又号香岩、日观峰道人、石庵山人、天香室道人、青原等。 山东青州府诸城人 ，清代乾嘉年间著名的政治家、书法家和诗人。 首席军机大臣刘统勋长子。刘墉的书法与翁方纲、成亲王永瑆、铁保齐名，并列为乾隆朝四大书法家。刘墉擅长于草书，书法用墨饱满，墨浓字肥，浑厚端庄，雄厚劲遒，时人有"浓墨宰相，淡墨探花"之美誉。其诗的体裁和内容都很广泛，语言朴实清新，颇有可读性。 著有《石庵诗集》。
