汪兆铭（1883—1944）字季新，笔名精卫，因此历史上多以“汪精卫”称呼。汪精卫天资高，自幼聪明颖悟，五岁入私塾，八岁“已养成好读书的习惯”，“一生国学根基，得庭训之益为多”，学习应制文字，先生谓“其文气磅礴纵横，许为旋转乾坤之伟器”。于1919年在孙中山领导下，驻上海创办《建设》杂志。1921年孙在广州就任非常大总统，汪任广东省教育会长、广东政府顾问，次年任总参议。
