A Chinese blue and white brush pot, bitong , the cylindrical body painted around the exterior in rich cobalt-blue tones with a continuous scene of figures on terraces from a scene known as 文王访贤 , from the Western Zhou dynasty legend of Wen Wang, all between incised chevron or scroll bands at the rim and foot, in mid-17th century style but later, 19cm high
