A TOURMALINE GLASS ‘POMEGRANATES AND PEACHES’ SNUFF BOTTLE, 1760-1840China. Ofpressed globular form, rising from a small oval foot ring to a lightly flaring neck with straight rim, finely carved to one side with a gnarled branch bearing pomegranates, the reverse with peaches borne on a leafy branch, each side with a lingzhi fungus, the foot encircled by rockwork. The transparent ruby-pink bottle with scattered small air bubbles.Provenance: From a private collection in Pennsylvania, USA. The collection was assembled over a period of 30 years, specializing primarily in glass and hardstone snuff bottles.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, expected manufacturing irregularities, few minuscule nibbles to the rim and foot.Stopper: JadeiteWeight: 42.1 gDimensions: Height including stopper 64 mm.
