靳以(1909-1959)现代著名作家，原名章方叙，天津人。少年时代在天津南开中学读书，毕业于上海复旦大学国际贸易系。20世纪30年代写了许多反映小市民和知识分子生活，描写青年男女生活和爱情的小说。40年代目睹国民党破坏抗战，思想感情发生变化，作品中出现革命的倾向。新中国成立后热情参加文化建设工作和各项政治活动，曾任人大代表，中国作家协会理事、书记处书记，作协上海分会副主席等职。
