Description

临榆县，又称“榆关”，现为河北省秦皇岛市山海关区，位于京津冀生态环境沿海生态防护区。此志为高凌霨修，程敏侯纂。凌霨，字泽畲，天津人，曾任国务总理，河北省长等职。是书依清光绪四年《临榆县志》为纲续修而成，补写光绪四年至民国十七年间史实。首册为十幅县境分区详图，尺幅巨大，绘制精细。全志分舆地编、建置编、武备编、赋役编等八门，析目三十七。是志反映了边关重镇山海关的特殊地位，为研究山海关发展史提供了切实材料。
