汾州府，下辖介休、永安、平遥，绵上四县。此志记事止于乾隆三五年，凡三十门，四十四万字。是志沿革门详考古今西河、汾州、中都、平阳、介休、永安等地的析置并分、地域范围，纠正旧志之误，如汾阳军，北宋宜和以前已有之，旧志据《元史·地理志》谓汾阳军始于金。山川门多据碑志记载历代水利情况。职官，流寓门考辨侧志误列之人。人物门增补郭钦等人传记。仕实门以碑文补记相里金事，以纠正史之误。艺文志收元人文章十四篇，可补元人文集之缺。是志文辞雅驯，考据精审，堪称府志中之佳志。此书保存完好。
