法华乡，原名法华镇，今属上海长宁区所辖，因镇有法华寺得名。 是志于嘉庆初成书,未及刊行,只有钞本,且舛讹甚多,胡氏于民国初重加修辑,续增十之七。约十九万字。卷首有法华总图及分图多幅并图说。正文分沿革、风俗、水利、土产、兵防等内容。 王钟（1759—1837），号一亭，嘉庆名士，曾预修《(嘉庆)上海县志》、《(嘉庆)松江府志》，学问渊博，书法精美。
