洪雅县，今属四川眉山市。此地与成都比邻，人文汇萃，自明以降，贡举之士，岁有其人，是志详载诸人姓名里居，可补正史之缺，该书分星野、方舆、营建、人物等九门四十九目，首有版图一卷。艺文志内详录大量诗赋文章，大多不见于别集，颇具文献价值。王好音，为安徽太湖人，嘉庆十七年任洪雅县知县，因康熙旧志历八十余年已漫漶，不可卒读。故采访蒐集，厘旧补新，而成二十五卷，并由张柱缮书付之梨枣，时在嘉庆十八年。此书版本极为特别，书内界栏与行字重叠，虽浓淡一致，显为套版刷印，于历代雕版中难得一见，识者当宝之。
