Description

当阳，别名麦城，位于湖北省中部，隶属湖北省宜昌市。此志清阮恩光修，王柏心纂。恩光，江苏仪征人，同治二年官当阳知县。柏心，湖北监利人，道光二十四年进士，官刑部主事。是志除卷首外，正文分十二门七十五目。邑志编次征引旧志。邑内庙、祠、寺林立，著名如玉泉寺、关公庙、文昌阁等，于图、古迹、祀典志、祀宇志及艺文志中，对历代兴废、祭祀、规模及碑文等诸情况，记载颇为详细、丰富。咸丰九年，任道镕曾采访邑事，得十余帙，后因他调遂止。同治五年邑令阮恩光继续修纂，经王柏心审定成书。首收疆域、书院、名胜等图十四幅。
