麻姑山位于江西省南城县境内，相传麻姑在此修道面仙，因此得名。明嘉靖间已有山志诗文两册，万历时爰有山志之刊刻，清康熙中续加增益，同治年间黄氏取旧志重加校订。本书即清同治五年黄氏洞天书屋刊本。本志卷一为图、例，卷二为考、表，卷三为志、纪，卷四为记，卷五为序、跋、碑、文、引、赋，卷六至卷十为诗词，卷十一为匾额、对联、育英堂事宜，卷十二为附刊从姑山志，目录。是书以麻姑山为主，详载其发展沿革，诸如麻姑仙坛、洞天胜境、仙灵人物、历代名家诗词题咏，是研究麻姑山和道教文学的重要资料。白纸精印，拍场未见。
