Large impressive dancing mask in the form of an antelope head with two curved horns (jagged at the lower end) and ears, expressive round eyes, the nostrils and teeth of the separately crafted lower jaw made of metal. The obverse and horns mounted with sheet iron and embossed and pierced sheet brass, the lower half of the obverse and the sides of the horns additionally decorated with cowrie shells and seeds (several losses). Surfaces slightly bumped with fine authentic age patina. Mounted on a metal base. Height 116 cm. Cf. Schaedler/Klinkhardt/Biermann, Afrikanische Kunst, 1994, p. 267f.
