A small Chinese gilt bronze 'sleeve weight', Ming Dynasty , in the form of a Buddhistic lion , traces of gilding, Radcliffe collection label 'J6', 6cm long x 3.5cm high x 2.8c wide, weight 194 grams Provenance: Major Edward Copleston Radcliffe (1898-1967) collection and listed in the family archive, with two contemporary letters from Bluett & Sons, dated 1965, as purchased by Bluetts on commission at Christies, 24 th May 1965, lot 144, for £68 guineas, from the Northwick Park collection, the property of the late Captain E.G.
