A fine large Chinese bronze archaistic censer , Qing Dynasty, 17th or 18th century, the compressed globular body resting on a short foot, the neck set with a pair of lion-head and ring handles with a thin band enclosing four archaistic birds on a leiwen ground, the foot encircled by a band of spiral patterns, the body with golden patina, the base cast with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark, 35cm handle to handle x 17.5cm high x 28.8cm diameter of rim, the base with black ink inventory number '28680', approximately 9.1 kg Provenance: From a private family collection 清17至18世纪 "大明宣德年制"款仿古双耳铜炉(克重9.1kg) 拍品来源:英国家族私人收藏 Condition Report: some wear and minor knocks and scathes commensurate with age the interior base with some green encrustation and other marks handles slightly bent and one handle will not drop down to body of vase
