Ca. 12th-13th century AD. A flat-bottomed bronze base from a candlestick with a cylindrical body with incurving sides, and a stepped-in lip. The drip tray that would have sat on the top rim of the base is missing. The exterior is decorated with incised patterns of foliage and interlocking motifs.Size: L:25mm / W:306mm ; 460gProvenance: Private UK collection, formed since the 1990s on the UK and International Art market.
