A Song-style Chinese ink-painting on gold-flecked paper, Probably 18/19th century, possibly earlier, China, 27.7 x 28.5 cm (or 33.5 x 34.5 cm including frame), Provenance: Collection of Peter Boode (1887-1972), by descent to the current owner. A fine painting depicting a man and a woman on a shore with their servant, standing under a large pine tree. Marked with a red seal mark in the lower left corner. The original painting on very thin paper, applied to thicker paper and framed behind glass in a narrow wooden frame. A few small surface scuffs and creases but overall in good condition.
