A Yixing teapot with foo-dog finial, Kangxi period, ca. 1715, China, L 17.3 cm, H 9.8 cm, A similar model is pictured on page 225 (ill. 309) of 'Yixing teapots for Europe' (2015) by Patrice Valfre. A hexagonal teapot with a foo-dog figure on the lid with loose-worked ball. The sides with sprigged reliefs of foo-dogs and Buddhist emblems. A nice dark patina. Not marked. A few tiny chips, to end of spout and to some of the edges. No cracks or hairlines and no restoration.
