A large Yixing teapot, Kangxi period, ca. 1700-1720, China, H 16 cm, L 24.5 cm (handle to spout). This model is pictured on page 225 (ill. 310) of 'Yixing teapots for Europe' (2015) by Patrice Valfre. A teapot of six-sided form with an ornate and well modelled foo dog finial with a loose-worked ball. Not marked. A few chips (to end of spout and along edges) but no cracks or hairlines and no restoration.
