A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN ‘FLOWERS AND CRANES’ BOWL, KANGXIChina, Kangxi period (1662-1722). The deep rounded sides rising from a straight ring foot to a broad everted rim, painted in underglaze blue to the interior with a central roundel enclosing blooming flowers, and a band to the rim with floral sprays. The exterior depicting a continuous scene of cranes amidst a floral arrangement of blooms. The base bearing an apocryphal six-character Chenghua reign mark.Condition: With a repaired breakage to one side but presenting very well with otherwise minor wear and manufacturing flaws.
