A PAIR OF ENAMELED PORCELAIN DISHES, c. 1920sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The shallow rounded sides rising from the wide base, painted in bright enamels to the interior with peaches and a bat within a red double circle to the center, framed by a composition of flowering branches including lotus, peonies, prunus and chrysanthemums. The reverse with a circle of five bats, and the base bearing an apocryphal four-character Chenghua reign mark. Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear, some manufacturing flaws including dark spots and fritting, pitting, and wear to the enamels. Provenance: Hungarian private collection.Weight: 648.2 g and 581.3 g Dimensions: Diameter 25.8 cm and 25.7 cm
