A LARGE BRONZE FIGURE OF A STANDING BUDDHAThailand, 19th to mid-20th century, or possibly significantly earlier. Standing and set on round wooden base, both hands forming the vitarka mudra, dressed in a long robe. The serene face with heavy-lidded, downcast eyes below arched brows, with a broad nose, and full lips forming a smile, flanked by long pendulous earlobes, and the hair arranged in tight curls. Condition: Good condition with traces of wear and age, dark patina with malachite and cuprite encrustations, casting irregularities, nicks and scratches, a crack to the neck, and the wooden base with natural age cracks.
