A LOT WITH TWO FINE MUGHAL MINIATURE PAINTINGSIndia/ Persia, Mughal Empire, 18th - 19th century. The first painted with gouache and gold on carboard, depicting Barbad playing music for Khusraw, within wide margins of arabesques and floral scrolls. The second finely painted with gouache and gold on paper, depicting men in a landscape, surrounded with many animals such an elephant, a tiger, snakes, birds, a crocodile and many more, with calligraphy on the back. Set in antique wood and stucco frames. Condition: Good condition with signs of wear and age, browning and minor stains. The wood frames with some chips and losses, glass chipped as well. Provenance: French private collection. Dimensions: Image size 41 x 32 cm and 39 x 29 cm, Size incl. frame 43 x 33 cm and 45.5 x 35.5 cm
