此轴头，造型敦实，玉质洁白温润。一侧帽顶式圆柱型凸起，一侧为中部挖一圆孔，外壁浅刻御题诗，整体造型优美自然，细节处线条圆融，打磨极为精细。历史上用白玉做书画轴头的只有爱排场的乾隆皇帝，从材质、形制、用途、年代、特征待方面判断，此作品应为清中期皇宫之物，有重要的收藏和经济价值。
