|圆雕瑞兽匍匐前行，身形肥硕，姿态驯服，瑞兽双目圆睁，阔鼻方吻，眉毛粗大上卷，双角较短，小卷耳饱满。胡须浓密，四爪厚实，绞丝尾左右分叉，四肢处用短小密集的阴刻线表现毛发，身披飞翼。背部留圆口，腹腔内挖膛，抛光细致。同类器物可参见清宫旧藏的一件青玉辟邪式砚滴。|此瑞兽砚滴体态壮硕，造型古朴，采用圆雕、浮雕技法，雕琢工艺精湛，时代特征明显。整器分量较重，亦可作镇纸，可谓一器两用，是一件难得的案头至宝。||参阅：《故宫经典—文房清供》，故宫博物院编，紫禁城出版社，第232页，图版251。
