本件花觚造型挺拔，上口沿为喇叭状外撇，中部直壁，下底微撇，此种造型在崇祯时期花觚中为经典造型。本件拍品器身腹部绘花鸟纹为主题纹饰，花卉枝叶茂盛，间饰以奇石，牡丹，雀鸟落于枝头，回首张望，另有雀鸟翱翔于空中，画面意境幽远，安静祥和，而不失灵动。纹饰特征均具明代风貌。画笔娴熟流畅，一气呵成，青花发色明快，翠艳，釉面洁净，润泽为少见的过渡期青花案头陈设佳品。
