A SAPPHIRE-BLUE OVERLAY GLASS ‘CHILONG’ BOTTLE VASE, QIANLONG MARK AND POSSIBLY OF THE PERIOD
China, 1760-1860. The globular body supported on a short and massive foot, rising to a tall neck tapering towards the lipped rim, formed from a solid block of opaque milky white glass, finely overlaid with a layer of translucent blue glass, neatly carved in high relief and detailed with very fine incision work to depict two dragons chasing the flaming pearl amidst scrolling clouds. The recessed base with a wheel-cut four-character mark, Qianlong nianzhi, within a double square.

: From a French private collection.

Condition
: Very good condition with expected wear and manufacturing flaws, such open bubbles, glass swirls and striations, as well as minor other irregularities and flaws within glass. Few minuscule nicks, smoothened over time.

乾隆款涅白地套寶石藍料雙龍戲珠紋長頸瓶，或爲其年代

中國，1760-1860年。長頸，溜肩，鼓腹，圈足。不透明的乳白色玻璃，套半透明的寶石藍色料，高浮雕雙龍戲珠。圈足內刻有“乾隆年製”四字款。

狀況非常好，有磨損、開放氣泡、玻璃漩渦和條紋，玻璃有製造不規則，一些微小的刻痕，隨著時間的推移而變得平滑。
