A SMALL CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER ‘PRUNUS’ BOX AND COVER, QING DYNASTY
China, 18th century. Of circular form, the thick layers of burgundy-colored lacquer carved on both halves with a dense network of blossoming prunus branches, the blooms presented in different directions and rendered in varying degrees of openness heightening the naturalism of the motif, the interior of both halves lacquered black.

Excellent condition with expected old wear, minor age cracks and scattered nicks here and there.

清代剔犀桃花蓋盒

中國，十八世紀。蓋盒呈圓形，盒蓋和盒子兩部分均剔犀，厚漆層，雕刻著繁複的桃花及桃樹，花朵以不同的方向呈現出不同姿態。盒內漆黑色。雕刻技巧精湛，線條流暢。
