惟精惟一、乾隆宸翰、中州固始延陵玉堂任子图书书籍、只须展阅勿得点圈
乾隆帝选韩愈、柳宗元、苏轼、曾巩、王安石等唐宋八大家及唐代李翱、孙樵之文，录其言之尤雅者474篇，合编是书。书内正文墨色黝黑，所录注、评分以黄、朱、蓝三色刷印。清圣祖康熙帝御评以黄色印于天头，最显尊贵。高宗评论以朱色印于各篇之后，尤拟亲批。朱子等历代大儒评述以蓝色分书于末，清雅悦目。字体劲健疏朗，套印工整，四色相映，瑞丽斑斓，诚为殿版套印之珍本。
