|魁星圆瞪双目仰望上空，肩披帔帛，下着薄裙，腰际系结，帔帛绕臂迎风翻卷而下。左手捧墨斗，右手持朱笔，左脚摆出扬起后踢姿态，为「魁星点斗、独占鳌头」祥瑞之意，下承方形须弥座。本像铜制精良，肢体细节刻划极富动感，表情传神，衣袂飘然，生动逼真，颇具艺术韵味。|魁星原为古代天文学中的二十八星宿之一奎星的俗称，指北斗七星的前四星，变称“斗魁”，后被道教尊为主宰文运的神，并作为文昌帝君的侍神。魁星信仰盛于宋代，从此经久不衰，成为封建社会读书人于文昌帝君之外崇信最甚的神。在中国很多地方都建有“魁星楼”或“魁星阁”。
