18K yellow gold (750/-) and platinum, tested. 40 diamonds in various cuts: old-cut, rose-cut and octagonal-cut, altogether circa 0.90 carats, TCR- CR (I-J-K), VS2-SI1. 1 facetted cushion-cut sapphire, circa 0.80 carats, fine transparent colour. 6 cultured pearls: 2 x round, diameter circa 4.2 mm, 3 x bouton form, diameter circa 5.5 mm, 1 x pear-shaped, circa 8.5 x 5.8 mm. Colour: white, very fine lustre. Circa 6 x 3.3 cm. Circa 9.1 g. It is likely that the piece formerly featured freshwater pearls that have at some stage been replaced by cultured pearls of the finest quality.
