The daughter-in-law of the expressionists Otto Dix and Christel Dix studied with her husband Jan at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts under Prof. F. Rickert. In her jewellery, she pursued in contrast to her husband, a playful-floral style, taking motives almost exclusively from nature. The value and prestige of the metals and stones she uses take second place to the design and structure of the natural objects that inspire her pieces.
