Late 5th-7th century AD. A mixed group of silver brooch fragments comprising: a bow brooch with triangular headplate decorated with punched-point border and rosette, two pairs of lateral bulbs, flat neck with lateral bulbs and catch to the reverse; one similar with applied panels, repoussé bosses; one a triangular plate with guilloche detailing, spring with pin to the reverse, three beast-heads below. 35 grams, 53-61mm (2 - 2 1/2"). Property of a European gentleman; formerly in a German private collection formed in the 1950-1970s. [3, No Reserve] Fair condition.
