A large double ended bronze desk seal matrix with columnar shank and second brass seal to other end; main seal with dove above a group of six nimbate figures flanking Christ enthroned, Cyrillic legend to the border; brass seal with similar scene with legend '+????:MTCP?:C:C:?oXA:IAK?K??' to the border. 300 grams, 13.5cm (5 1/4"). Property of a UK gentleman; acquired from a London gallery in the late 1980s; formerly from a private European collection, formed in the 1960s and 1970s. Fine condition, usage wear.
